~Introduction~

Hi! Great to be here! I'm Rena, mom to three wonderful children - Rebecca who's 6, Jeremiah who will be 2 in January, and our new addition, Micholas who arrived on September 22. But enough about them LOL :-)

I'm a 37 year old native Californian from the LA area. I attended UC Santa Barbara where I met my first DH, Rebecca's father. We married in 1992 and relocated back to LA. Our marriage unfortunately fell apart not long after Rebecca was born, mainly due to the fact that DH would not get a job, and so I found myself a single parent of a 6 month old and moved in with my dad. Not long after that, I met DH #2 in an Internet chat room (really!) and we hit it off right away. He was a widower with no children and lived an hour
away from me. We married in April 1998. I used to be a bank operations manager, but when Jeremiah was born my plan was to stay at home for a few months and then go back part time, but I kept extending my deadline, and finally resigned altogether when I discovered that I was pregnant with Nicholas.

Staying at home was a difficult adjustment for me, having worked with the public for almost 20 years and meeting new people and developing relationships with them; now my world had shrunk considerably, and in focusing exclusively on my children, I sometimes forget about what makes *me* tick - what are *my* hopes, dreams, and just your every day vents, triumphs and frustrations? I look forward to some rediscovery with this journal, along with a lot of humor; join me, will you?
